Station upload

The upload variant Station upload is only available from TIA Portal V15.1 onwards. Information technology is the recommended method.

If you want to perform a Station upload via a NAT router, see Requirements for conveying out a station upload.

In the instance of Station upload, the fill-in is created with TIA Openness. A detailed comparison and a restore of the backup tin be performed. Current values are saved, and also compared, depending on the configuration. Detailed comparison and upload is merely possible for S7-1500 controllers.

If TIA Portal V17 and firmware V2.9 with encrypted communication are used on this controller, this method is automatically selected. However, information technology is likewise possible to utilize the legacy method. This tin can be set in the job configuration.

Station upload supports countersign protected projects, NAT routing and CPU passwords.

  9. If the IP address of the device differs from that of the project (for instance, when using a NAT router) clear the Apply device IP address from project bank check box and enter the IP address in the Device IP address section.
You lot can use the Cheque button to check whether the IP address yous entered can be reached.
  10. Enter the password for the device in the CPU Password field, if information technology is a controller with security functions (F-CPU).

  12. When you check the Execute station upload only if the selected fingerprints accept been changed check box, a list of fingerprints will be displayed that can be individually selected for comparison.
versiondog compares the status of the selected fingerprints with the last saved backup. If the fingerprints are the aforementioned, no Station upload is performed and the final backup is taken as the current 1. The last backup will be taken as the upload issue. The current values are not saved in this case

If an error occurs that is not listed in the Effect log, you lot take the option of activating Debug way for the Station upload. If the debug fashion is activated, the TIA Portal with graphical user interface is started. In instance of an mistake, the program waits 2 minutes until TIA Portal is airtight.

When debug mode is enabled, the executing service must be run as an application.

The debug way is activated in the AgentStation.ini file, in the following directories:

  • For the server: D:\vdServerArchive\VD$A\Configuration\Upload

  • For the agent: D:\vdAgentArchive\VD$A\Configuration\Upload

If the Upload directory or AgentStation.ini file is not still available, information technology will have to be added.

In the AgentStation.ini file, enter the following:

[TIAPortal]

DebugMode=Y

For more information on INI files, come across the INI files department, located in the AdminClient tutorial.

Including and excluding current values from the comparison

From TIA Portal V15.one onwards, you have the possibility to include and exclude current values from the comparing.

  1. In Job configuration, click on Comparison configuration.

  2. In DB compare, enable Compare content in order to activate the current value comparing.

  3. If necessary, select Exclude initial/current values of the following variables and Include initial/current values of the post-obit variables, and enter the corresponding variables.

    • Consider "SetPoint" attributes: cleared and Include checked (without entry) > NO values are compared.

Configuring a timeout

When uploading large amounts of data, a timeout may occur despite the default time beingness preset at xxx minutes. This timeout tin can be adjusted globally for all upload types or for each upload blazon separately. To adapt the maximum time for job execution according to the upload type, go on as follows:

  1. Get-go the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
  2. In the card, click on Global chore settings.
  3. The Upload specific configuration window will so open.
  4. Select the upload type in the navigation bar on the left.
  5. Check the Use specific timeout for this upload type check box.
  6. In the Maximum time for job execution field, enter the time catamenia in minutes. The maximum possible value is 540 minutes.
  7. If you do not check the Utilise specific timeout for this upload type check box, the adjacent fourth dimension you modify the global timeout, the value fix here will be overwritten past the global one.

Alternatively, you lot can conform the timeout via the INI file Classes.ini . (Go to the path in the server or agent archive:..\VD$A\Configuration\Upload\Classes.ini).

The value entered in the Upload type specific configuration window volition then be copied into the INI file.
