So last twelvemonth I picked up a 2012 f150, I am the tertiary owner. The original possessor leveled the truck using fob two.v" coilovers/resi'south with camburg upper control arms. The second owner wanted information technology higher so he added a 6" lift rough country drop bracket lift on-top of the coilovers and control artillery already installed. Having a truck that high has go inconvenient for me (loading motorcycles in the bed and climbing in and out) Has anyone ever looked into removing a lift? I would however want to keep the coilovers and control arms so it seems like all I would need is the original spindles and the original crossmember?

Thank you for whatsoever input!

I bought a truck w/ a 6" RCD lift, it was a 2005 Chevy 2500 Hard disk drive. I don't know much about lifts and just assumed I could take it off not trouble...turns out when the truck is that large the weld parts of the lift. Concluded up simply driving it lifted as it was too expensive to have removed. hopefully that's not the case w/ your truck

run into if you can download rough country instructions to encounter what was washed to install the kit. if nothing was cut or welded y'all can take it off. would probably just need stock spindles.

Most people in orange county already accept a pocket-sized penis, specially if they take a lift kit. Compensation.

Shit I'k half-dozen'v" I'm not compensating for annihilation lol

4wd

Rough land install instructions didn't take anything near welding from what I saw.

Pronstar took his off of his dodge. Or the guy that bought the kit swapped all the stuff out for his stock intermission so information technology definitely tin can be done

So last year I picked upward a 2012 f150, I am the third possessor. The original owner leveled the truck using fox 2.5" coilovers/resi's with camburg upper control arms. The 2nd owner wanted it higher and then he added a 6" elevator rough country drop bracket lift on-height of the coilovers and command arms already installed. Having a truck that high has become inconvenient for me (loading motorcycles in the bed and climbing in and out) Has anyone always looked into removing a lift? I would still desire to keep the coilovers and control arms so information technology seems like all I would need is the original spindles and the original crossmember?

Cheers for whatever input!

Best advice.....sell the truck an buy 1 that'southward not lifted if that'due south what y'all want/need.

Sometimes the "reset" button tin be the all-time manner to get.

My son Bought a used 2017 F-250 CC diesel with 18K miles on it and discovered that information technology had a chepo lift kit (raised the forepart to level it). It drove poorly, bump steered and road like crap.
He is now in the procedure of removing the lift to get it back to stock and restore the stock driving characteristics.

Information technology's easy, driblet bracket lifts are worthless. I don't know why people talk shit when they know null about the subject.

Most lifts on 4wds do not have spindles exercise to the axles. It should be pretty direct forrard to remove and likely blocks in the rear.

Having the parts to take information technology dorsum to stock is unremarkably the hardest office about removing a elevator from a truck.

I agree, rock car has the spindles I need for $86/each but I haven't been able to find where to buy the original crossmember. Ideally, I would find someone that wants the elevator and we could work out a trade.

That's what I did.
Buyer provided labor and all parts to take me back to stock.

Check out various forums, at that place's always someone looking to lift their truck for cheap.

Did yous make them purchase the lift on top of providing labor or did they become a costless lift with the simply toll being the labor?

Want to make certain I piece of work out a off-white bargain.

Did you make them buy the elevator on tiptop of providing labor or did they get a free elevator with the only cost being the labor?

Want to make sure I work out a off-white deal.

He paid me cash ($4500 I believe), did all labor, and provided all parts.

I wont accuse that much (a crude state setup is only $900 new I think) but probably reasonable to accuse $400 and have them provide labor. Thank you!

I did the same. Posted an Ad on CL had several people contact me. He took care of labor and threw in a Honda 3000 generator.

And how did that work out for ya ? [emoji4] [emoji202]

I'm in the reverse boat. Accept a lift / wheels/tires sitting at a shop waiting for me to drop my truck off. Haven't been able to afford to have the truck down for a month to install the lift.

Any idea if his dad's named Male monarch? When I was stationed at Luke back in the 90's, I had some friends with that name.
Mayhap a brother named Daniel?

If you going to try and sell it why not just pay to have it removed by your store. Y'all know it's done right, and so simply sell it for $400 and be recover your labor price.
